Do I need a referral to see a Chiropractor?

No. There is no referral required to visit us and anyone can set up an appointment.

What do I need to bring?

Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. If you have them and if they are relevant bring scan/MRI reports, and list of medication.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, the chiropractor will discuss their treatment plan for the rehabilitation process.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. We are currently accepting new patients. We recommend that you call to see if we have appointments available.

Is Chiropractic care safe?

Yes. When compared to alternatives like prescription and over the counter medications, chiropractic care is safer for the management of injury or physical pain. There have been many scientific studies confirming the safety of chiropractic care, and the evidence for this is growing every year.

Does the treament hurt?

The short answer is no. People come in to see us in various states of tenderness or pain so this pre-existing tenderness may be there during gentle manipulation of the muscles or joints. Chiropractic treatment in and of itself is gentle and not usually painful.

There are many different kinds of chiropractic techniques. These range from very gentle ones, such that a very small baby could have an adjustment, to those that are little more forceful – such as what might be needed by a professional football player.

We will communicate well with you and decide upon the best and most comfortable treatment technique for you. In our office, the patient comes first and we will meet your preferences.

While we are unable to comment on these types of situations specifically, we have many patients in our office who come to us from other clinics. the doctor's training as a specialist means that he might be able to address complex problems in a way that might be harder for a general doctor to tackle.

Yes. Many people seek out our office in order to get a second opinion.

Yes. We cannot call on the specifics of any one individual’s group insurance plan, but our experience is that many or most group plans will provide for chiropractic care. You should check with your insurance policy.

Yes. We also provide custom made orthotics. Most group plans cover these costs but you should consult with your plan to confirm.

People sometimes confuse this word to mean feet. The word orthopedics actually refers to specialized training in bones, joints, nerves and muscles of the body. It is a specialized study involving physical injury and pain.

This means that the doctor extended his studies by an additional four years after completing chiropractic college. This provided advanced knowledge and training in physical pain, physical injury and the most advanced and up-to-date treatment methods for dealing with these problems. This training has allowed him to provide care to some of Canada's most elite athletes.

Absolutely not. The amount of care that any individual needs is specific to them. Our experience is that some people require only a few visits while others might require more time. We have a very comfortable environment in our office and no one feels obligated to do any outcome. How long you choose to benefit from chiropractic care is up to you.

We have many patients who are educated about health and have recognized that it is better to see periodic “tune-ups” or preventative checkups in order to maintain balance and good posture rather than leave things to accumulate the point where pain or an injury can occur.

There is a saying “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. This refers to the fact that it’s much easier to proactively take care of things rather than treat a problem after it has erupted. In other words it’s much better to change the oil on your car and do regular maintenance checks rather than neglect it until there is a full-blown problem with the car. Our bodies work the same way.
